Queer Australian Art and KINK acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional owners and custodians of the lands and waters of this continent. KINK conducts its work on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation in Naarm Melbourne, the Turrbal and Jagera peoples in Meanjin Brisbane and the Gadigal lands of the Eora Nation, Sydney. We pay respect to elders past, present, and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded.

Apparitional Charlatan Minor Appearances

2020-2021

Description

Brian Fuata performs APPARITIONAL CHARLATAN MINOR APPEARANCES (accumulations 2020-2021) at the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) on Sunday 24 April 2022. The performance is an improvisation of spoken word and physical gestures using the image of the ghost and featuring, Emily Nguyen-Hunt.

Fuata’s performances are a spontaneous response to the artwork and architecture of the Gallery’s spaces and often engage with the audience.
